Dr. Paul Marcille, Licensed Psychologist
Paul J. Marcille, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Owner

Dr. Marcille is a licensed psychologist with 35 years of experience working as a therapist and university professor and administrator. Dr. Marcille obtained his B.A. in Psychology from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago Medical School with a specialty in behavioral medicine. 

 

Dr. Marcille works with adolescents and adults helping them to achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals. He is the former Vice President and Dean of the American University of Paris and enjoys working with clients from international backgrounds. He uses evidence-based therapeutic practices with a primarily cognitive-behavioral focus and is very pragmatic.

Dr. Marcille specializes in working with young people to help them deal with academic and personal challenges. He also works with professionals working through personal, relationship, and professional transitions. He frequently speaks to professional groups about the challenges of young people and on a variety of other psychological topics. 

Dr. Marcille is the past president of the California Psychological Association, President-Elect of the Santa Clara County Psychological Association,  and the former Director of Undergraduate Programs at Palo Alto University, He is on the board of advisers of several non-profit agencies and volunteers with them. Dr. Marcille speaks English and French.

Lisa Slede, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Lisa Slede is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20 years experience working in a variety of settings. Lisa obtained her B.A. in International Relations from the University of Colorado, a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.
Lisa worked for 10 years as a consultant and corporate trainer based in Europe.  As a therapist, she has experience in School-Based programs, County Mental Health, and Psychiatric Emergency Services. She is currently a Counselor and Professor at a local Community College.

Lisa specializes in working with adolescents and young adults and also enjoy working with adults over 25. She is skilled at crisis management, educational and career counseling, parental support, and navigating the labyrinth of public schools’ special education and 504 plan services. Her therapeutic approach is informed by family systems theory, cognitive-behavioral work, mindfulness practices, and positive psychology.  Besides English, Lisa speaks Spanish and French fluently and has lived abroad in Panama, Mexico, and France.  She has taught intercultural communication and enjoys working with clients from international backgrounds.

Sean Sullivan, Psy.D
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Sullivan is a licensed clinical psychologist with 23 years of experience working as a therapist with adolescents and adults, helping them achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals. He began his formal psychology education at Harvard University, interned at the Center for Mindfulness and Science at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and earned a Doctorate of Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology while completing a psychology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center followed by postdoctoral training based at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

 

Since then, Dr. Sullivan has maintained a psychology and mental health technology research practice in the Bay Area. His therapy approach is science-based, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction techniques along with psychodynamic therapy to help his patients and clients develop a deepened understanding of themselves and practical knowledge for addressing the challenges they encounter to achieve their goals. Related to his therapy practice, he conducts clinical research on how to use technology to support patients in therapy, particularly through teaching how to strategically shift mind states on demand.

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Sullivan has also written popular psychology books and articles and created digital mental health, wellness, and peak performance psychology courses, apps, and a live psychology stage show. As a volunteer, Dr. Sullivan has served in several roles, including on the Board of Directors of the American Psychological Association (APA) Society of Clinical Psychology and as President of an APA section for practicing psychologists.
